Session 1: 9.30 to 13.30 – Herbs, interactions and recommended remedies
This session aims to provide biokinesiologists with an understanding of:

- Herbs commonly used to treat chronic conditions including herbs available from Epigenetics,
- When herbs should be used – finding the most suitable herbal remedy to treat the client, and
- Interactions of herbs within the body to ensure a safe and effective treatment.
This session will be given by Lisa Guinan. Lisa is a qualified Herbalist and Naturopath practising in the Burren. Her work is split between private consultations and teaching primary school children, youth groups, adults and the elderly as well as creating workshops for the general public and lecturing on specific topics, such as gut health and cancer and the potential of herbal remedies.

Session 2: : 14.30 to 16.00 – Diagnosing dehydration and acne, how it presents in the skin and treatment
This session aims to provide biokinesiologists with an understanding of:
- How best to approach skin conditions, and in particular acne,
- Skin functioning and response,
- Specific products and brands to coincide with BioKinesiology treatment, and
- How to speed up the rate of healing skin.
This session will be delivered by Elaine Shanahan. Elaine is a qualified biokinesiologist and beauty and massage therapist. She specialises in advanced skin care as well as a wide range of beauty treatments and has trained and managed brands for over 14 health and beauty brands in Ireland including training at the prestigious Coogan Bergin.
